Autumn Term 2026

It's been a wonderful start to a new year at Explorers! It's was lovely to see all our children and families for another year and welcome three new little Explorers into our little family. 

We have started our term learning all about ourselves, taking opportunity to notice and describe features of our faces. Some children were particularly interested in expressions they can see on faces! 

Autumn seems to have come suddenly. We have had some amazing walks in our local area, noticing changes we can see that our man made and those that are natural. 

We are so lucky to have so much natural space right on our door step and see change in the landscape Infront of our eyes. We've watched tractors harvesting and plowing, found forgotten corn, gathered apples, and painted the natural landscape. 

We've explored root vegetables, making apple tarts, beetroot chocolate cake and vegetable soup! 

We've enjoyed trips to Beechenhurst and penguin park Raglan, as well as run abouts at the green park and field walks. 

Phonics sessions have started with our older children. We keep it short, sweet and interesting! It's fast becoming one of our favourite parts of our daily routine!
