Our staff
All our staff are dedicated to ensuring your child feels secure and relaxed in our care. Their total focus is to provide your child with a safe but fun environment where they are allowed to develop. Their dedication allows you to feel confident when leaving your child with us.
The management team and staff are always on hand to offer support to parents.
Our staff hold the following qualifications:
- CCLD at various levels
- CACHE diplomas at various levels
- Degrees in Welsh
- Degree in Educations
- Masters in Play and Therapeutic Play
Our Rooms
CUBS room
The room is brightly decorated and equipped with the necessary equipment to provide comfort.
Our sleep room provides a peaceful area for children who prefer to sleep in cots whilst being monitored by baby room staff.
The baby room has it’s own kitchen for the preparation of your babies food and drink. All baby food is kept in the baby kitchen and labelled with your child’s name.
The nursery nurses work with you and with your babies routine, we want your baby to feel safe and comfortable in our care. As your child grows they will be introduced to age appropriate activities, when the time is right for you and your baby they will move into our CATS room.
At the end of every day your babies key worker will provide you with an update of your child’s day.
CATS Room
The Cats room again allows your child to develop and grow in confidence. Activities will be age appropriate and fun with a variety of suitable toys. All food is prepared daily by our nursery cook. Special dietary requirements are catered for.
At the end of every day your child’s key worker will provide you with an update of your child’s day. Children sit together for lunch and snack time assisted by our nursery nurses.
Following the Cats room your child will move into the Lions room.
LIONS Room
The age group of our Lions room is aged 2 – 3. By the time your child reaches the lions they would have already developed in confidence and will enjoy playing with other children, friendships are formed and social skills develop very quickly. Again all toys and activities are age appropriate.
Each day is filled with fun with a variety of activities taking place inside the nursery and in our suitably equipped garden with outdoor playhouse. Children sit together for lunch and snack time assisted by our nursery nurses.
Each day your child’s key worker will update you on their day. All art work is displayed on our colourful boards and also within your child’s scrap book which will be yours to keep as a wonderful memory of their nursery years.
Following the Lions room your child will move to the Tigers.
TIGERS Room
Following on from the Lions room is our Tigers pre school room. We pride ourselves in the planning that goes into ensuring we provide age appropriate activities that will allow your child to gain confidence in their abilities.
In the Tigers room we will subtly encourage your child to become independent and confident in readiness for their next step in to “big school” We encourage every child and work with you to ensure the next step is pain free.
All activities are fun and all art work is displayed on the room boards and will also be kept in the individual scrap books. Each month there is a topic eg.” People who help us”, “Where are we going on holidays” we will also look at yearly festivals, such as Easter, Christmas, Divali and Chinese New Year along with many others. All of these topics will provide your child with relevant understandable information in a fun, interactive way.
At the end of every day your child’s key worker will provide you with an update of your child’s day. Children sit together for lunch and snack time assisted by our nursery nurses.
Before and After School:
We offer a school run service to local Caerphilly schools. We are able to offer a before and after school service to suit most requirements. Please ask a member of the management team for further information.
