At Orchard Day Nursery we provide a high standard home from home environment for pre-school children between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years. 

It is an environment that promotes each child’s emotional, intellectual and social growth in a relaxed atmosphere of learning that is both caring and fun for all concerned. Your child being happy and confident with us is our main priority. 

Orchard is a small family run business, which was opened in 1999 by Justine and Philip Dobbs, but run daily by Justine. In 2026 Orchard was purchased by their daughter Meg who now runs the daily operations alongside Justine before she retires. 

Meg lives locally and is a single mum by choice to one year old Freddie and first born cavapoo Frankie. Prior to joining Orchard Meg obtained a degree in Education and is qualified to level three in Childcare and Development. Most recently Meg has worked in professional services across London and Cardiff, so is aware of the demands and challenges working parents face. Our mission is to not only provide quality childcare to children but also be a community of support to families – to be their village.
