Cylch Meithrin Cwarter Bach (CMCB), formally known as Cylch Meithrin Brynaman was established in 1989, under the umbrella organisation of Mudiad Meithrin (MM) and promotes pre-school education through the medium of Welsh to all children aged 2 years and over until they enter mainstream school in the local and surrounding areas.
The Cylch is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to provide Sessional Day Care for up to 17 children per session from the age of 2 years until they enter mainstream school. The setting is available to both boys and girls; toilet training is not a necessity.
The Cylch is based within the premises of Brynamman Public Hall & Cinema and operates between two main rooms, a small middle room, and an outdoor play area. Each area is designed to create a stimulating environment for specific actives and learning opportunities including free play/child-initiated play.
CMCB is a Charitable Interest Organisation (CIO) which means we are a not-for-profit group. We are managed by a Responsible Individual and a Voluntary Management Committee who supports us in the day to day running of the group and all fundraising activities. The Volunteer Management Committee is made up of four Trustees who are passionate about keeping the setting running to its maximum potential for the benefit of all the children that attend.
