Cylch Meithrin Llangelynnin is a friendly, Welsh-medium childcare setting serving children from the Henryd area. We are based in a dedicated room within Henryd Community Hall at Ysgol Llangelynnin, thoughtfully adapted to provide a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for young children.
We are registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales to care for up to 15 children, offering high-quality Welsh-medium sessional care for children aged 2 years up to school nursery age. Through play, care and learning, children are immersed in the Welsh language in a natural, supportive way, helping them develop confidence in using Welsh from an early age.
Our setting is carefully resourced with high-quality toys and activities suited to each child’s age and stage of development. Children over the age of two are gently introduced to activities that support the Flying Start Scheme and the Curriculum for Wales (Early Years), helping to build strong foundations for future learning through the medium of Welsh. We also place a strong emphasis on outdoor play, planning our outdoor areas to encourage exploration, movement and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Above all, your child’s happiness, safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. We provide a calm, homely environment where children feel valued, secure and confident, allowing them to develop at their own pace and reach their full potential.
Our dedicated staff team is fully qualified and regularly attends training to ensure the quality of care we provide continues to grow and improve. We work closely with Mudiad Meithrin support officers and local authority teams to ensure we meet the highest standards and stay up to date with best practice.
Children are encouraged to share their feelings and make choices during sessions, helping them develop confidence and emotional awareness. We also value strong relationships with families and welcome feedback from parents and carers. We are always happy to chat before or after sessions and believe that working closely together helps us provide the best possible experience for every child.
