Payments & Invoicing


How Payments Work

Wootzoo supports different payment methods depending on how your setting has configured their account. There are two main scenarios:

Option 1: Pay Directly Through Wootzoo

If your setting has connected their bank account to our payment system (Stripe or GoCardless), you can pay directly through Wootzoo.

How it works:

  1. You'll receive an invoice from your setting
  2. A "Pay Now" button will appear on the invoice
  3. Click to pay securely by card or direct debit
  4. Payment is processed and your invoice is automatically marked as paid
Benefits: Instant confirmation, automatic receipts, and your setting sees the payment immediately.

Option 2: Manual Payment (Bank Transfer)

If your setting uses Wootzoo for invoicing but not payment processing, you'll pay them directly (e.g., by bank transfer).

How it works:

  1. You'll receive an invoice through Wootzoo
  2. Pay your setting directly via bank transfer or however you normally pay
  3. Once paid, click "Notify Setting" to let them know
  4. Your setting will verify the payment and mark the invoice as paid
  5. A receipt/invoice will be generated for your records
Tip: Always use the "Notify Setting" button after making a bank transfer. This helps your setting reconcile payments quickly.

Viewing Your Invoices

You can view all your invoices and payment history in your account. This includes:

  • Outstanding invoices awaiting payment
  • Paid invoices and receipts
  • Payment dates and amounts

Payment Security

All payments through Wootzoo are processed securely:

  • Card payments are handled by Stripe - a leading payment provider
  • Direct debits are handled by GoCardless
  • We never store your full card details
  • All transactions are encrypted
