Adding Another Parent or Carer

Parents

One account holds your child's profile. If another parent, partner, grandparent or carer needs access, they don't create a separate profile for the same child: you invite them to the account you already have.

Inviting Them

  1. Log in and open your child's profile (Children → [Child's name]).
  2. Scroll to the Guardians panel and click Add guardian.
  3. Enter their name, their relation (e.g. Dad, Grandma) and the email address they will use for Wootzoo.
  4. Tick Invite to Wootzoo? and set a password for them. Leave it unticked if you only want them recorded as an emergency contact with no login.
  5. Click Add guardian. They are sent a welcome email.

If They Already Signed Up

It's common for the second parent to sign up on their own before realising the child is already on someone else's account. That account does not need deleting.

Invite them using the same email address they signed up with. You'll see a message saying an account already exists for that address. Tick Yes, this is the same person, grant them access and save again. Their existing account is then linked to your child, and it appears the next time they log in.

The email address must match the one they registered with exactly, otherwise Wootzoo creates a new account instead.

What They Can See

An invited guardian gets the same access you have for that child: the daily feed, daily reports, messages with the setting, invoices and bookings. Guardians added without the invite tick are recorded as contacts only and cannot log in.

Can the Nursery Do It Instead?

Yes. If it's easier, ask your child's setting to send a parent invite from their side. The result is the same.
