Messaging
Wootzoo includes a built-in messaging system so providers and staff can communicate with parents directly within the platform, without using personal email or WhatsApp.
Sending a Message
Go to Messages from the main menu. Select a parent from your list and type your message. Messages are delivered in real time and the parent is notified by push notification (if they have the app installed) and email.
Group Messages
Send a message to all parents registered at your setting, or filter by group (e.g. all parents of children in a specific room/slot).
Timeline Posts
The day-to-day feed lets you post updates visible to all parents - a photo from the garden, a note about today's activities, a reminder about an upcoming event. Posts can be marked as Official (formal announcements) or standard updates.
If a post includes a URL, Wootzoo automatically converts it to a clickable link.
Notifications to Parents
In addition to messages, Wootzoo automatically notifies parents when:
- An observation is shared
- A daily report is posted (sleep, meals, nappies)
- An invoice is sent
- An invoice reminder is due
- A new activity is published
Configure which notifications are sent under Settings → Notifications.
