Food Menus

Providers

Record your food menus so parents can see what their child eats each day. A menu is built from individual meals, arranged by day and slot (breakfast, lunch, and so on).

Creating a Meal

Click New Meal on the Menus page. Give it a title, an optional description, and a photo if you'd like one. You can leave the day and slot set to "None" to create a standalone meal in your meal library, to add to a menu later.

Building a Menu

  1. Click Create Menu and give it a title (e.g. "Summer Menu" or "Week 1").
  2. On the menu's Edit page, click Add Meal. You can either add a meal already in your library ("From Library") or create a new one ("Create New") - pick the day and slot for either.
  3. That day appears on the menu automatically once a meal is assigned to it - there's no separate "add a day" step.
  4. Repeat for every day and slot you want to cover.

Managing a Day

Click into any day from the menu's edit page to view and edit its meals. From there you can change a meal's slot, remove it from that day, or copy that day's whole set of meals to another day - handy for menus that repeat the same thing across several days.

Setting the Active Menu

Only one menu is active at a time per setting - that's the one parents see. Switch which one is active from the dropdown at the top of the Menus page.

Keep more than one menu prepared (e.g. Summer/Winter, or a week in/out) and switch which one is active instead of rebuilding a menu every time the cycle comes back round.

Deleting a Menu or Meal

Delete a whole menu from its edit page with Delete Menu. Delete an individual meal from your meal library ("All Meals") with the same Delete button inside its Edit modal.
