Messaging & Notifications
Send and receive messages with your child's setting directly through Wootzoo - no need to use personal email or WhatsApp.
Sending a Message
Tap Messages from the menu and select your nursery from the conversation list. Type your message and press send. Your nursery will be notified and can respond within the same thread.
Receiving Messages
When your nursery sends you a message, you'll receive a push notification (if enabled) and the message count badge on the Messages icon will update. Tap to read and reply.
Push Notifications
Wootzoo sends push notifications for:
- New messages from your nursery
- New invoices
- Invoice payment reminders
- New daily reports
- Shared observations
- Absence confirmation
To enable or disable specific notifications, go to Profile → Notification Preferences.
Enabling Push Notifications
If you're not receiving push notifications:
- Android: Go to Settings → Apps → Wootzoo → Notifications and ensure they're enabled
- iPhone: Go to Settings → Wootzoo → Notifications and enable Allow Notifications
- Make sure you've installed Wootzoo as a PWA (added to home screen) - notifications only work in the installed app, not the browser tab
