Using SerenPass
SerenPass is the digital register you'll use every session to track which children are in the building. It's designed to be fast - signing a child in or out takes one tap.
Opening the Register
Log in and navigate to SerenPass from the top menu. You'll see:
- Today's session slots with the children scheduled for each one
- Each child's current status (IN / OUT)
- A live feed of recent sign-in/sign-out activity on the left
- Summary counts at the top: children in, children out, staff signed in, ratio status
Signing a Child In
Find the child in the correct session slot and tap Sign In. Their status badge changes to green IN and the live feed updates. That's it.
Signing a Child Out
Tap Sign Out next to the child's name. If responsible adult selection is configured, a dropdown appears - choose the adult collecting the child before confirming.
Medical & Dietary Info
If a child has allergies or dietary requirements entered through a Q&A form, small coloured badges appear next to their name. Hover or tap a badge to see the details. Always check these before giving food or drink.
Absence Badges
If a parent has reported their child absent for today, a badge appears on the child's row. You can see the reason (Sick / Holiday / Absent) and any parent notes.
Signing Yourself In
Use the Sign In as Staff button at the top of the board to record your own attendance. This feeds the ratio calculation - the board shows a red warning if the ratio falls below the required level.
All Children Section
At the bottom of the board is an All Children section showing every active child regardless of schedule. Use this to sign in a child who isn't on today's planned session list.
