Discounts
Wootzoo can apply discounts automatically when ad-hoc sessions are recorded or contract invoices are generated. Discounts are shown as separate line items on the parent's invoice so they can see exactly what reduction has been applied.

Sibling Discount
When two or more siblings attend the same session on the same day, Wootzoo automatically applies a discount to the second (and each subsequent) child's fee.
How to configure
- Go to Settings → Invoicing → Sibling Discount.
- Choose a discount type: percentage (e.g. 10%) or fixed amount (e.g. £3.00).
- Enter the discount amount and click Save.
How it works
When you add an ad-hoc session for a child, Wootzoo checks whether any sibling (a child linked to the same parent account) is already booked into the same slot on the same date. If so, the discount is deducted from the fee and shown as a separate Sibling discount line item on the invoice.
Staff Discount
Mark a child as belonging to a staff member and Wootzoo will automatically apply a staff discount - both to ad-hoc session fees and to their monthly contract invoice.
How to configure
- Go to Settings → Invoicing → Staff Discount. Set a discount type (percentage or fixed) and amount.
- On the child's profile, tick the Staff Child toggle in the Quick Actions panel.
How it works
For ad-hoc sessions, the discount is applied automatically when the session is added. For contract invoices generated via Bulk Generate, Wootzoo applies the staff discount to the monthly total and shows it as a Staff discount line item on the invoice.
Joint Session Discount
When a child attends two or more sessions on the same day, Wootzoo applies a joint session discount to the second (and subsequent) bookings.
How to configure
- Go to Settings → Invoicing → Joint Session Discount. Set a discount type (percentage or fixed) and amount.
The discount fires automatically when a child already has an ad-hoc session recorded on the same date in a different slot. This discount is specific to ad-hoc sessions and does not apply to contracts.
Per-Child Discount Override
If an individual child has a different arrangement to the setting-wide rates - for example, a negotiated fixed rate or a higher percentage - you can set a custom discount directly on their profile.
How to configure
- Go to the child's profile and find the Discount Override field in the Quick Actions panel.
- Choose a type (% or £) and enter the amount, then click Save.
How it works
When a per-child override is set, it replaces all setting-level discounts for that child. It applies automatically to:
- Ad-hoc sessions: instead of the sibling, staff, or joint session rate
- Contract invoices: applied to the monthly total, shown as a Discount override line item
Click Clear override on the child's profile to remove it and revert to setting-level rates.
Discount priority
When multiple discounts could apply, Wootzoo uses the following order of precedence:
- Per-child override: always wins if set; setting-level rates are ignored for that child
- Setting-level rates: sibling, staff, and joint session discounts apply independently when their conditions are met (only one rate can apply per discount type per session)
