Staff Hours Report
The Staff Hours report adds up how many hours each member of staff worked, using the times they signed in and out on SerenPass. It is useful for payroll, and it can take an unpaid break off each day automatically.
Opening the Report
- Open your setting and click SerenPass.
- Click Reports.
- Click the Staff Hours button at the top of the page, next to Rooms on a Date.
Managers reach the same page through the setting's Reports page.
Choosing the Dates
Pick a start date and an end date, then click Show. It opens on this week. CSV downloads the same table so you can open it in a spreadsheet.
Reading the Table
Each member of staff has their own table, with a row for every day they worked:
- In and Out: the first time they signed in and the last time they signed out that day.
- Before break: the hours before any break is taken off.
- Break: the break that was taken off.
- Worked: the hours to pay.
- The Total row at the bottom adds it all up.
If someone signs in more than once in a day (for example a morning shift and an afternoon shift), every shift is added together.
Unpaid Break
Enter the number of minutes to take off in Break to deduct (minutes) and the shortest day it applies to in When a day is at least (hours), then click Save break rule.
For example, 30 minutes and 6 hours: any day of 6 hours or more loses 30 minutes. Shorter days lose nothing. The rule is saved for your setting and applies to everyone. 0 minutes means nothing is taken off.
Days to Check
A day is not counted if there is no sign-out, or if the person was signed out automatically at midnight. The day shows a red message and the Total row says how many days need checking. To fix one, go to the Reports page and correct the sign-out time, then come back to Staff Hours.
